Outstanding, fast service from Ehrhardt Brothers plumbers. Had a shower valve that would only output cold water. Called them after hours and left a message, and they returned my call at 7:30AM the following morning, and by 8:15am they had a plumber to my house (believe they are based in Columbia, MD). He knew exactly what it was (cartridge) and fixed by 9AM. Also made a repair to spa tub in minutes. Just outstanding, professional, and fast service. Very happy to recommend. We called them for a block in our main water line- we discovered it around 10 pm (basement flooded), called them 7 am the next morning and they came out within a few hours. The guys were very professional and efficient, and I felt the charge was reasonable (this is my first experience needing a professional plumber so I have no reference for comparison however I was expecting to have to pay more). Will definitely call them again should we need any services in the future!

In several encounters, we’ve never been disappointed with Ehrhardt Brothers Plumbing. This time was no exception. The office called 45 minutes before our appointment to advise that Rob was on his way. He showed up promptly and handled the tasks professionally and courteously. The replacement kitchen faucet I had planned to install myself (!) turned out to be a mismatch for the size of the supply lines, so I needed someone with skills far beyond my own to install new shut-off valves and compatible supply lines. Obviously, it was no problem for Rob and he was done in under an hour. Ehrhardt is not inexpensive, but the reliability, quality service and overall experience make them our go-to contractor for household plumbing services.

Our water heater broke right before the MLK weekend. I found this company based on good reviews as well as their super service award from Angie’s List. I called them on the MLK day (Monday) and luckily they were open. Mike answered the phone and patiently asked about the details of the water heater. We were fortunate that the company had a new water heater in stock and Mike was able to schedule the installation on the same day. He and Vince came to install the water heater. They were courteous and efficient, and answered our questions about the water heater. They even identified and fixed a pinhole leak in a copper pipe at no additional charge. It was very much appreciated, especially considering the weather. I would highly recommend them!

Saved by Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing (a.k.a ColumbiaPlumbing)! (West of Baltimore) Sunday evening, our water felt less hot than usual. Monday, it was only as warm as we keep the house, and only as much water as there is in the pipes! Our gas water-heater failed! Bad timing, too. Last week was what Chicago calls Fools’-Spring … around 70°. But this week was back to Second-Winter, 30° (Mar 2026). And the next “Spring-of-Deception” is still ten days away. There was water leaking from the heater. This is considered the calm before the 50-gallon tsunami. If this is home-remedy advice, First call a friend who has successfully navigated this problem. Next shut off the gas and then the pilot. Next shut off the water inlet. Your friend will have at least one plumber to recommend. (They will enjoy that…) If your garden hose isn’t frozen to the spigot, drain the water tank. If frozen, spend a sleepless night with the 24/7 plumber’s number on speed-dial. We chose #2. We made it through the night. Two of our friend’s recommendations were small-businesses, our preference, and we asked all three for quotes and availability. Ehrhardt was ready to offer a price based on our descriptions and photos, of course with caveats for anything unexpected. I considered their bid to be a pretty-penny, but I’ll say it was less than our friend’s expectation, and more than our friend in Cleveland expected. A fair price. They came the next morning, and it might have been sooner if we had called right away. We cleared a path for them through the house, and they had the water heater replaced in 90min. Impressive. We went out for St. Pat’s. But what we should have done was what they told us: check the pilot light for about 30min, and test the hot water after 60 to 90min. We came home to cold water. I’ll admit some grumpiness. We called in the morning, and they came back in a jiffy (our apologies to everyone else who had appointments that day). In 30min, they figured it out: a faulty pilot in the new, just-unboxed water heater. They had a replacement part over-nighted. The next morning, in 30min, done. This time we did as told: checked the pilot after 20min (and nervously, an extra time again after that). Still lit! The second time we checked, and the hot water outlet was noticeable warm. By 60min, hot water from the faucets! By 90min, much to relief of nearly everyone i know, a piping hot shower. AAAAAHHH 🙂 Ok, so how does three visits equal 5-stars! The hardest question answered first: Because the problem was the manufacturer’s fault, and Ehrhardt handled it flawlessly: Excellent communication by Ehrhardt, priority attention to our problem, no excuses, just fast resolution. Great service staff, from the office to my house. Fair price. I admit that I’m writing this in the after-glow of that hot shower. This could be the start of a beautiful situationship. ❤️

Called Ehrhardt Brother’s here in Columbia because purchased a New LG washer & Dryer and the guys who delivered it couldn’t hookup the washing machine because of corrosion on the old hookup. Vince came out and took care of everything & fast! This is the 2nd time I’ve called Ehrhardt over the years and I won’t ever call anybody else! Both times Vince came out and is so knowledgeable and professional and gets the job done! He is such a gentleman and I know his parents are very proud of him!:)

Ehrhardt Bros hooked up a new gas range for me this morning. Arrived on time, gave a very reasonable estimate, conducted the work in 30 minutes, setup the range and tested it, cleaned up everything and left. The service tech was very honest, went right to work with no time wasted, and wore booties…which was great, as we have an infant and are concerned with keeping the floors clean. Avoid the local companies that advertise on TV, sponsor highways, and have colorful trucks…they are robbers who charge $80 just to send someone to your house. Hire Ehrhardt Bros if you want the job done by a pro without BS and without killing your wallet. Will be recommending them to anyone who asks.

I had an amazing experience with this company. I had a kitchen sink clog and it took two trips from them to fix it completely. Both plumbers I dealt with were great. They both kept the house clean while working and worked hard the whole time. The people at the office communicated before their arrival and they arrived on time. They did not try to overcharge me for making a second trip. I would highly recommend this company.

We bought an older home and have dealt with a number of issues in our first 2 years here, and since we didn’t know any service providers up to now we went with larger companies with name recognition. Feeling unsatisfied, this time we decided to go with a LOCAL company that had good on-line reviews – and boy am I glad we did. We have found our go-to plumber! Keith came out a day ahead of schedule, quickly diagnosed our issues, and did a first rate repair job (furnace went toes-up on New Years Day, then 3 hours after the new one was installed our water supply lines in the laundry room burst). He was personable, professional, and expeditious. Dealt with my chit-chat and kept working the entire time, finishing in less time than estimated and for less money than I’d figured on. Can’t say enough great things about Ehrhardt Brothers Plumbing. You guys ROCK!!!!!! 🙂

My sump pump died mid-storm. They came out an hour after I called and replaced it at a competitive price. The plumber was nice and helpful.

I’ve recommended this plumber to many! They solved a long-standing issue with a bellied pipe in our basement, and did so with an inexpensive solution, installed with incredible speed and quality. Thrilled to have them in our neighborhood!

We have lived in our house for 10 years. For that entire time the sink in the laundry room has backed up whenever we did laundry. I’ve had at least five different plumbers look at it and tell me that it cannot be corrected. I had Earnhardt to my house for a different issue and while they were there, I ask about the laundry sink. They told me that it was plumbed wrong originally and that it’s something that they could correct. They corrected it. It’s now been about three months since they did the work and the sink works perfectly. After 10 years of having it back up, I am more than amazed. Thank you.

This team is great! I called at 730am with an emergency and they had guys on site within 15 minutes. They were in and out in 30 mins and the issues resolve. My only concern is not having an ability to utilize their services on the weekend. Petty indeed… but it would be nice to not be handcuffed to Monday – Friday. What happens if a pipe bursts on the weekend? Regardless, these guys were great! Thank you very much.

I couldn’t recommend this company more!! Been using them for years but recently had a more serious issue. The technician was extremely professional and explained each step of the process. It involved cutting into our wall and ceiling. The crew was incredibly careful and left the work area completely clean. We are very satisfied with this company.

Just had Ehrhardt come out, Kaiser our tech showed up on time in a clean truck. He was super knowledgeable and just as importantly, personable. After troubleshooting, he was able to let us know what the issues were and get everything squared away… and cleaned up after his work. I know cleaning up should be a given…. but it’s really not, so thank you! As someone who has worked for their own family’s contracting company, I can tell you first hand how hard it is to find a honest, clean, knowledgeable family owned and operated trade company, weather it be plumbing, electrical, HVAC etc. With all that being said, we will 100% be calling Ehrhardt for any further needs and will be recommending them to others.

We are very happy with Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing. We’ve had valves replaced, our (very challenging) kitchen sink snaked, and a major plumbing issue diagnosed. We also have a major project lined up. So far, we’ve had Nick, Rob and Vince, and I’d like to give 6 stars to each one. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the work is done fast and efficiently, the quality is excellent, the price is fair, and the customer service is top notch (thank you, Katherine and Rachel!). In addition to that, I’m grateful to each Ehrhardt plumber who has been to our house for their generosity in sharing their knowledge. I try to DIY what I can; I’ve learned quite a bit about our house and its plumbing system from them, and the advice they’ve offered has been priceless. Thank you! UPDATE: We’ve had several plumbing issues taken care of (top quality as always – thank you, Vince!) and one major project: a broken pipe under the slab. Mike and Nick were able to locate the precise location of the leak, so the floor had to be removed in one place only, which saved us a ton of money. They fixed the leak and replaced a section of the pipe (with a long form PVC 90) that was causing clogs. Now everything works fine. Thank you so much!

The local plumber we used for many years was bought by a larger national firm so I looked around for a new local company and found Ehrhardt. Called the office and spoke to Catherine and had the service scheduled a few days later. Vince and Matt came out, on time, and quickly checked everything off the list. On 7/27/23, Kyser repaired our old leaky Moen shower faucet, installed a new garbage disposal unit, installed new shut-off valves to the kitchen sink supply lines, and replaced a very old leaky kitchen Moen faucet (20, possibly 38 years old), where the locking nut had fused in place. The last task was a major time-consuming bear of a job that required him to cut through the faucet’s solid brass stem to remove it. Kyser was great! An extremely pleasant, polite, hardworking guy who got all the work done efficiently and effectively – he is credit to this company. Totally worth the 2 hour fee. THANK YOU!

I’ve been using Ehrhardt for small plumbing jobs for years but they really came through for me when I had a major sewer backup flooding my basement with nasty water. They showed up within an hour and then brought in larger equipment to clear the blockage. I suppose I wasn’t the first hysterical person to call for service but I’m so glad for the fast work.

I think they are the fastest and most reliable company I have ever had to do plumbing for my company. They have reasonable prices as well. They were very informative, listened carefully to the details I shared, and explained the possible causes. Vince came out, was personable and professional, and took the time to diagnose, fix, and test everything. Great service — I really appreciated the care and attention to detail.

Rob and Matt came to my house responding to a call I had made earlier that day. I needed them to cut and rearrange some gas pipes. They seemed careful and like they did a quality job, giving me a couple options, explaining potential pros and cons, and letting me decide on the best route. They were friendly and efficient. The pricing seemed on par with other plumbers in my estimation. This wasn’t a large job (so I’d weigh other reviews more), but for what it was, it couldn’t have been a more positive experience all around.

Great experience with this establishment. The appointment scheduling was spot on and the receptionist called before hand should the technician arrive early. Rob is one of the techs, he is very professional and helpful. Upon the detection of the issue(s), he will advice what the problem was for our shower leak and provided the recommendation immediately. Would call this business again should we have an issue in the future.

There is no better plumbing company in Howard County as far as I am concerned. I have used Ehrhardt several times over the years and always found them to be skilled and reasonable. My most recent experience, however, was second to none. On Saturday, we noticed the smell of gas in our home and called BGE to respond. BGE confirmed the leak and shut off gas service to the entire house. I called Ehrhardt at the open of regular business on Monday with the prospect of a family of 5 set to arrive later in the day for a weeklong visit being greeted with cold showers and no homecooked meals as both the hot water and stove are on gas. Although Ehrhardt was booked solid until later in the week under regular scheduling, the owner himself understood the situation and personally came to my home with another technician to check the lines and fix the leak with hours to spare. I recommend Ehrhardt without hesitation since they provide all of the services of the “bigger companies” without losing the small business customer service.

Upon arrival Wayne was professional, courteous and HONEST, which is very important to us. He did an outstanding job, at a good price. I would definitely recommend Ehrhardt Brothers.

I have used them in the past to run Gas lines to my dryer, and stove back in 2013. They did excellent work then so I went to them when my water heater started leaking. I was given a very competitive quote for a full replacement and haul away. The quality of their work was top notch, thanks again Rob. I was also pleased there was no hidden surprises or tacked on fees. DJ was very patient with me on the back and forth emails discussing my issue before they sent out a technician. Just before going out of town our water heater decided to start leaking at the nozzle at the bottom on a Thursday afternoon. We called another plumbing company and they told us they couldn’t get us in until the next day and gave us a 730am-9pm window. By 1130 am Friday we had heard nothing from the other company so we gave Ehrhardt a call. Not an hour later Vince was there diganosing the situation and putting a temporary fix on the heater until we could get it replaced so we could go out of town and not worry about coming home to a flooded basement. The replacement was scheduled the day after we got back. They arrived within 30 minutes of the appt time and was done in just 2 or 3 hours. Could not have asked for a better experience, would recommend them hands down to anybody and will definitely call them again for our next plumbing situation.

Nick from Ehrhardt Brothers came by (earlier than I even expected) and did a relatively simple shower leak repair for about 20% of the price that Len the Plumber wanted. Very friendly and very honest in every regard. I will be a return customer for sure.

I hired Mike to extend my gas line to the stove so that I can push the stove back against the wall. He did an excellent job and even put some of the drywall back, and he adjusted the stove for me since it was uneven. In addition to the great service, he was really nice and competent.

I have to used Ehrhardt Brothers on multiple occasions. The professionalism is outstanding from Catherine in the office to Vince who is the plumber who services my home. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I wanted the anode on my hot water heater replaced. One plumber (Greenfox) said they do not replace anodes or do hot water heater maintence. Another, Ben Franklin, wanted $99 just to come out to give an estimate. Ehrhardt Brothers just asked me for a couple photos on email and provided a qoute, which was reasonbly priced. Install was done well and I am happy with the work.

Plumber Wayne of Ehrhardt Brothers installed a Moen faucet I purchased & replaced several turnoff valves and I had an extremely good experience! I spoke with Rachel in customer service and she was fantastic as well! I feel like all the employees of this company are pros and the price is certainly reasonable. Go ahead and treat yourself to some quality plumbing work by using this company instead of pulling out your hair by attempting complicated do-it-yourself plumbing jobs best left to the pros. 🙂

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We had Earhardt come out to inspect a plumbing issue after a weekend emergency and cannot say enough wonderful things! The company who initially came out not only mis-diagnosed our issue but quoted a bid that was very high and told us they had to dig up our basement floor to fix the problem. Yikes! Earhardt came in, figured out the real issue and charged us less than their initial bid and never had to dig up our floor – thankfully. Overall they saved us over $5000! We would definitely recommend Earhardt for their quick response, honesty, and coming in under their own bid. Thank you!

We had a sewer incident where we could not flush any of the toilets or even let the water out of the sink. We called the plumber that we have used for 30 years and was not able to reach them. In desperation we looked up on Angie’s List and found Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing. They had all of their crews out working and thought that they could get someone out by late evening. Later they called back and said that they could not make it that day. After begging and pleading and explaining my plight they said they would indeed come out that day. They arrive and were the most professional plumbers that I have ever seen. They made quick work of the blockage in the sewer line, cleaned up the area and were gone in short order. The cost was about half of what I expected to pay. I am thrilled that I have a new plumber.

Called Ehrhardt Brothers Plumbing to replace a washer drip pan. I got their name from my HOA recommended plumbing company. The process of scheduling an appointment was easy and quick. I was fortunate that they were able to send a professional out within 2 hours. Rob showed up on time, get to work immediately. Although it was a challenge for a one person but he did not give up. We worked together to move out the stacked washer and dryer, and he improvised a solution. He was professional, respectfu, knowledgeable, and completed the work as requested promptly. I absolutely cannot explain how appreciative and satisfied I am with Ehrhardt Plumbing. Wayne and Matt are the best! They were able to resolve a problem that another well known plumbing company was not (Heil). The other company came out to fix it but could not and still charged me $475 (they did change my showerhead). Like most people, I do not have $475 just laying around in my bank account so I had been hesitant to call another plumber. I am so glad I decided to hire Ehrhardt. When I corresponded with Rachel, she was very understanding and patient with my concerns. She assured me that they would do their best to fix it and they did. It took them less than 30 minutes to do it too. They charge an hourly rate that is very reasonable. If I have any other plumbing issues in the future, I will not hesitate to call them. They have given me hope that some of these home repair companies actually do care about you and not just the money.

Good service

They came. They saw. They unplugged my sewer that had no easy cleanout to put the auger through. They came quickly — the day the disaster occurred. The billing was clear, and the office staff was very easy to work with.

We had Ehrhardt replace our water heater as well as take care of several other jobs involving rerouting, valve replacements and a PRV replacement. They arrived right on time and got to work. They took care to protect carpet etc where they were working heavily. All the work was approximately 4 hours which seemed very reasonable to me. They offered a discount on labor since we took care of other work with the water heater replacement. The water heater replacement was a set price which came in right in line with other quotes I was provided by area plumbers. (I had quotes from 4 plumbers and they were all within about $100 of one another.) This work was performed back in March and no issues have arisen. Very happy with the work and will use again and definitely recommend.

I chose Erhardt Brothers Plumbing because of their great reviews, and I’m so glad I did. When I called, the person answering the phone was upfront about their hourly rates and the set rate for one thing I might have needed fixed. When the plumber came out, they did their job quickly and efficiently, and I thought the price was fair for what needed to be done. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if I ever have the need to have more work done.

Ehrhardt brothers is a great plumbing company that replaced four bathroom faucets, two shower plates and advised me on my 13 year old water heater. I will be using this company for my future plumbing needs.

Wayne was great. On time. Quickly fixed the blockage in the toilet and asked if there was anything else we needed him to do. Since the kitchen faucet had become difficult to turn on and move I asked him to look at that.

Rob the tech was great, cheaper than I expected. Called them on Monday. Next day at 10 am Rob was there. Had my daughter’s B Day party that weekend and he fixed the first floor toilet, replaced the leaking exposed water shutoff for toilet, replaced broken disposal then ran a new water line from fridge down to basement. Paid less than 700 total.

I would like to thank Rachel for being very courteous & professional helping me set-up the appt – and having Vince come out the very next day – to replace a faulty pressure regulating valve (PRV). Vince arrived exactly on-time as scheduled. He was very professional & courteous (sorry I asked so many questions; which Vince answered “all of them.”) He did an outstanding job installing the new PRV. He also ensured and recalibrated my Thermal Expansion Tank; ensuring it was properly set to the main water pressure psi. Vince cleaned up the area; double checked all connections; ensuring there were no leaks. I can’t say enough about his professionalism. I give Ehrhardt Brothers Plumbing two thumbs up for the service they provided! The whole process was simple and easy, from the first phone call where a nice lady took my info and squeezed me in on the schedule the very next day all the way until the end.
